Carla Michelle M. Bennett

Carla Michelle Bennett, 60, was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Clyde Bennett and Wanda Murray. 

Carla attended the Kansas City, Missouri Schools and worked in Housekeeping at various Hotels in the downtown Kansas City area. 

Carla was blessed with two children of her own and an adopted daughter. Carla would make up any reason to cook big meals. She loved all outdoor activities, fishing, singing, dancing, playing cards, having family events or just throwing something on the grill. Carla was truly a people person, she never met a stranger. 

Carla departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Clyde Bennett Sr. (father), Wanda Murray (mother), Allegro Smith (grandmother), Michael Abernathy (uncle), and Ronald Abernathy (uncle), all preceded her in death.  

Carla leaves to cherish her memory, Allegro Boykin (daughter); Tony Keith Lyles Jr. (son); Kisha Johnson (Goddaughter); Clyde Bennett (brother); Davida Bennett (sister); Juan Bennett (brother); Kevin Abernathy (uncle); Steven Abernathy (uncle); Momma Sharon Gilmore; two granddaughters,  Taniya Lyles, and Kelis Lyles; and a host of aunts, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
