Lucille Ford was born on August 15, 1934, in Dalton Missouri. She was one of five children born to Beatrice and Archie Miller, a homemaker, and railroad worker.
Lucille was raised in Dalton, Missouri where she received her education and along with her siblings. One sister, Audrey Hemingway, and three brothers, Archie Miller (Shelly), George Miller (Ethel) and Martin Miller (Linda).
Lucille moved to Kansas City, Missouri, at the early age of 18 years old. She worked most of her career as a certified nursing assistant and retired from the Jewish Community Center in downtown Kansas City.
Lucille never met a stranger. She welcomed you in her home, she loved to cook, and would feed anyone who needed a meal.
Lucille married John W. Ford in 1975. John passed in February 2005.
Lucille passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospice House. Her parents, brother, Martin Miller, son, Gregory Wilson, and daughter, Nancy Ford, all preceded her in death.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Margaret Anderson; three sons, Johnny Wilson, Archie Wilson (LaDonna), and Michael Wilson; sister in-law, Linda Miller and sister in-law/like a sister, Ethel Miller.
Lucille was blessed to have a host of loving and caring grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
Lucille will deeply be missed.
