Nora Arnett Bland was born March 11, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri. To Mrs. Viola Bland and Mr. Parnell. Nora Bland was the youngest of nine children. Nora was raised by her mother until she was 3yrs old and then her aunt Ivery Cason took her in along with her five siblings, after the death of their mother Mrs. Viola Bland. Nora attended school in Kansas City Missouri. Throughout Nora's career she worked at various restaurants as a cook and later became a caregiver at various companies. Nora was a former member at Barker Temple Church of God in Christ until she met Charles Moore in August 2005. Nora later became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Nora & Charles continued in their relationship for many years until they were married on August 20, 2022.
When she got married Nora proudly took on the last name Moore. Nora enjoyed spending time with her family and collected coins as a hobby. Nora has four children, Tanisha Bland; Darren Briscoe, Earline Brown, and Kiara Gooden. Three stepdaughters through marriage: Rachael Bolden, Raphaela Moore & Jecoura UhMoore. Nora Moore departed this life on April 7, 2024. Nora is proceeded in her death by her mother Mrs Viola Bland; father Mr. Parnell, daughter Tanisha Bland, sister Mary Bland, sister Dortheia Bland, brother Joseph Bland, a aunt, uncle & both grandparents.
Nora Moore leaves behind husband, Charles Moore; son, Darren Briscoe, daughters, Kiara Gooden & Earline Brown along with her three stepdaughters, Rachael, Raphaela & Jecoura, along with five siblings including: Charles Bland, Eleanor Williams, Calvina Woolridge, Shirley Washington-Earl & Ivery Bland, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and eight grandchildren to cherish her memories.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with services beginning at 12:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church located at 4733 Elmwood Ave Kansas City, Missouri .Private Disposition
