Octavia M. Hall

Octavia M. Hall was born October 28, 1932 in Mariana, Arkansas to the union of Issac and Mary Elizabeth Owens, who preceded her in death, as well as adopted mother, Alice Washington.

She was educated in public schools in Gould, Arkansas. She worked for years at KU Medical Center.

Octavia met the love of her life, Arthur Lee Hall, and on September 1, 1954, they were married. To this union one child, Glenda was born.

Octavia gave her life to Christ at an early age and continued to  walk with the Lord until she was called Home. She was a member of Life Changers Church. She enjoyed going to Church, listening to Gospel music, and babysitting children. She also loved to do hair in her  kitchen.

Octavia loved cooking until she was unable to cook anymore, and you never left her home hungry. If she didn’t have anything cooked, she would say, “Take my card and go get something.” No one was a stranger to her. She loved everyone with all her heart.

Octavia departed this life on Friday, January 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her four sisters, Louise, Girthella, Mary, and Bernice; and brother, Issac.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Glenda (William) Johnigan; five grandchildren, Brenda (James) Williams, Glenda (Ray), Allen, Stanley, and Ivory; nine great-grandchildren, Deymone Hall, Darisha Henderson, Carl Cohens, Ivory Green, Stanley Simpson, Nyah (Jon) Heflin, A’Keah Frazier, Allen Frazier, and Antonio   Whitley; ten great-great-grandchildren, Richmond,        Dilynn, Trinity, Teigan, Titan, Carl III, Stanley Jr., Braylin, and Rome; and a host of Godchildren, God grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
