Penny Gail Thomas

Penny Gail Thomas(Diggins) age 71 of Rayville, MO. Went to be with our Lord, peacefully on December 29th, 2024 due to a short battle with cancer.Penny was born in Topeka, KS. March 29th, 1953 and was the daughter of Ivan B. Diggins and Velda Mae Diggins(Elson) who both preceded her in death.Penny lived, worked, and graduated from Nevada, MO. Until she met her future husband Jerald "Jerry" E. Thomas.

 Penny and Jerry were wed in Ottawa, OK. and moved to Kansas City, MO. After sometime Penny and Jerry were blessed with one child Jeremy B. Thomas. Penny was also a stepmother to Mike, Mark, and Michelle.

 Penny and Jerry eventually moved to Rayville, MO. and lived a happily married life of thirty-eight years together, taking care of horses, dogs, and a garden. 

Jerry preceded Penny in death, they leave one son Jeremy B. Thomas and wife Dana of Wood Heights, MO. Penny's step-son Mike Thomas of Rayville, MO. Step-son Mark Thomas and wife Cathy of Jacksonville, FL. and Michelle Foreman of Forsythe, MO.Penny had a quick wit and a strong will. You knew where you stood with her and if she loved you , you would know it. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart. 

Penny would help you when the chips were down, but give her opinions even if they hurt, because you knew she was right. She will be missed by many and loved always. The memories we each have with her are cherished ones. With true Penny style, with a large grin her final words "you all are just no fun anymore" and she closed her eyes.
