Reva MAe Bailey was born November 25, 1930 in Perry, Oklahoma, the youngest child to John Henry Lane and Celia Nancy (Dixon)
Lane. All her siblings proceed her in death Cassy, Savannah, Joanne, Ervin. Edythe, Juanita, and Johnnie.
She moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she was married to Floyd Harrison Bailey who preceded her in death.
They raised three children Valarie Sample, Shirley A Wynn & Freddie L McGinnis. but she never gave up on learning.
She earned her GED at 54, Mrs. Bailey was the oldest and had the highest score of the entire campus, she received
honors & awards also. later obtained her CNA license. She dedicated many years working at AAA laundry until
retirement.
She was beloved and always full of life. Her motto was “Always keep moving”, which she did all her 93 years. She
found joy in her family and friends and was a Superfan of WWF Wrestling, would watch faithfully and if she babysit
any Grandchild you were watching also, she attended her last match in late 2023.If you spent time with her she was going to teach you something, and if you didn't know, get the almanac.In addition to her three children, she was a beloved grandmother to 18; a great grandmother to 64; a great-great grandmother to 93; and a great-great-great grandmother to 7.
A true Matriarch and a believer in Christ, she read her bible and coffee At 5 a.m and prayed for her entire family daily.
Her legacy will continue for years to come through her many descendants. She will be truly missed by anyone who has
had the pleasure of knowing her.
