Ronnie Morgan Stephens

On January 8, 2023, Ronnie Morgan Stephens, 79, was called home to be with the Lord. He was the first of four children born to Vernola (Stephens) Stewart. Preceding him in death was his wife of 44 years, Cynthia (Weaver) Stephens, and his mother, Vernola (Stephens) Stewart.

Ronnie was born June 3, 1943, in Chillicothe, MO to Vernola Stephens. He was raised by his grandparents, William Olie and Mary Stephens, until their passing. Ronnie received his G.E.D. and enlisted in the US Army in 1961. He proudly served the United States in Vietnam.

Ronnie married Cynthia Weaver in 1976. He held various positions with different companies throughout his life, with his last position being an Environmental Construction Worker. He was known for his generosity, wittiness, and broad knowledge about all subjects. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, and watching television shows, such as Gold Rush and Secrets of Skin-walker Ranch. He helped and touched the lives of so many during his time on Earth. The family finds comfort in knowing that Ronnie is with the Lord and no longer is suffering from any ailments or pain. 

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory, three beautiful daughters, Marlo Barnes of Owasso, OK, Stephanie (Willie) Thomas of Corona, CA, and Shana Stephens of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Davonne Stephens, Tyler LaGrone, Akirra James, Quiani Middlebrooks, and Dei’Anna Jones;  one great-granddaughter, Bayla James; three     sisters, Kathleen Stewart, Vickie Stewart, and Leslie Diane Stewart, all of Omaha, NE, and a host of other family and friends.
