Rose Marie Anderson, 70, “Sweet Rose” was born January 2, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Manual Anderson and Ethelyn Jasper.  Rose was the second of nine children.

Rose was baptized at a very early age at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, in Kansas City, Missouri.  She went to school in the Kansas City School District.  Throughout her life, Rose worked in the nursing field, doing something that she really loved, which was   helping and being in service to others. 

Rose spent most of her time being surrounded by the love of her life, her son, Vondale, and her grand-children, whom she loved a great deal.  Rose was also  an avid reader.  She always had a book nearby.  She loved to laugh and was always the life of any party.

Rose passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 7:40 p.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 70. She was preceded in death    by both of her parents, her son, Byran R. Anderson, a sister, Anita Bell, a special father, William Jasper, Jr., grandparents, Paul and Rosetta Hamon, one aunt, Pauline Lewis, a grandson, Byran Anderson, Jr., nephew, Donnell Tillman, and two great-nieces, Ashwan and Lakeisha Anderson.

Rose is survived by her son and best friend, Vondale  Anderson; sisters, Tijauna Sweate (KCMO), Ernetta Newsome (Rickie Newsome of North Carolina), Cheryl Anderson (KCMO), Ethelyn Anderson (KCMO), Marshawn Gilbert (KCMO), and Willon Hunter (Elton Hunter of Georgia); brother, Ernest Anderson (KCMO); a very special niece, Kenyatta “Kimmy” Wilson; 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives, and many friends.
