She was united in holy matrimony to Russell Garrett on July 10, 1969.This union was blessed with two children, Konya Tyler and Kila-Kitu Garrett.
Mrs. Garrett was a devoted teacher. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. She often opened her home to both family and friends alike in times of need. She was a great listener and always provided positive words of wisdom, and a home cooked meal.
Rose departed this life at home on Monday, August 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Garrett. Her beautiful life will forever by cherished in the lives of her children: Konya (Sean) Tyler of Kansas City, KS and Kila-Kitu Garrett of Arlington, TX; goddaughter, Yolanda Bayless of Bolingbrook, IL; grandchildren, Airon Webb of Kansas City, KS and Airica Tyler of Arlington, TX; sister, Dorothy Chavers of Memphis, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved dearly.
Her influence will forever be cherished in the lives of everyone that knew her. She always reminded us to do what we can and not to worry about the rest. And remember, no matter what you are going through, things could always be worse.
