Scottie Mae Starks Walker was born September 06, 1941 in Brown, Alabama to Elbert Starks Sr. and Hattie Mae Starks.
Scottie received Christ at 12 years of age, was baptized and joined Friendship Baptist Church, Brown, AL.

She was educated at Keith High School in Dallas County, Alabama. She worked at AT&T and Manicure Nursing Healthcare Service.
She enjoyed organizing, shopping and family get-to-gethers, and she loved to take long walks.

Scottie Mae Starks-Walker departed this life on March 25,2024 at home.

Scottie was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Starks Sr. & Hattie Mae Starks; her husband, Lae Walker, one Brother, Herman Starks; Seven sisters, Savannah Jordan, Annie Mae Kinnie, Bernice Dupree, Thelma Williams, Hattie Lee Norfleet, Della Jackson and Ernestine Mcgraw.

She leaves to cherish her memory, seven children.
Jacqueline Starks, Gregory Shields, Derrick Walker, Jacob Waldrup, Latayna Waldrup and Nicole (Timothy )Hubbard, all of Kansas City, MO. Gwendolyn Walker, of Fort Wayne, IN. Two bonus children Laetta Walker and Bridget Walker of Kansas City, MO. One brother, Elbert Starks Jr. (Brenda) of Madison, AL. 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews; nieces; cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. Services will be held at Golden Gate Funeral& Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st. Kansas City, Missouri 64127.
