Shaytanya Elaine Bazart

Shaytanya Bazart was born April 24, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri to Peggy Bazart and Louis Bazart.

“Sexy Shay” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated at Metro Tech. She worked throughout the Kansas City area. She was the female version of a hustler. Shay accomplished anything and everything she put her mind to in life.

Although Shay never married, she was blessed with five beautiful children, gifts from God. She enjoyed playing spades and spending time with loved ones She also loved to travel the country.

Shaytanya departed this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was preceded in death by Sha'Drea Bazart, daughter; Peggy Bazart, mother; Narlea Bazart, and Shylynn Young, sisters; W.C Smith III, brother;  Ke'Anthony Rankins, nephew; Howard Rankins, nephew-son; and Debra Young, biological mother.

Sexy Shay leaves behind to cherish her memory, Shatavionna Bazarte, Shakiya Hickman, Kay'sohn Bazart, Kay'Veir Bazart, Keith Rankins, Shaval Young, Jayda Hemmitt, Jayshyiah Rankins, Ja'Zelle Paul, Rye'Zelle Paul, Joy'Ceair Bazarte, Rye'Kelle Bazarte; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, within the Rankins, Hooten, Michelle, and Woodson families

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 11, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M.

Services will begin at 11 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC
