Shelia Renee Carson

Sheila Renee Carson was born on December 5, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri to Urail Gay and Bessie Carson.
Sheila was educated at Southeast High School. She later went on to the Job Corps where she obtained her GED. She was a faithful member and the secretary of women’s ministry at the Salvation Army East Side Corps. Sheila worked at True Light where she loved helping and interacting with peo-ple. There wasn’t a soul left untouched by her kind and caring heart. Sheila was the life of the party. She enjoyed having a good time and two stepping. She was a die hard Chiefs fan, you couldn’t tell her nothing about them boys in red.

Sheila loved and believed in the Lord. She never hesitated to pray for you and let you know that God loved you.
Although we are deeply heartbroken, she would want us to continue with life because she’s made it to her forever home. Sheila entered heaven’s gates on July 8th, 2023. Her grandmother, Dollie Carson; mother, Bessie Carson; father, Urail Gay; sister, Wynee Carson; brother, Oliver Carson, and great-nephew, Jarrell Bolden all preceded her in death.

Sheila leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Joseph Carson (Marsha), Sade Carson, Stephanie Horn (Keele), and Marcell Horn; sister, Rosiland Gay; grandchildren, Tajia Carson (Markiya), Amaya Carson, Makyla Carson, Sa’Raia Yarbrough, Aonesty Carson, Jade Williams, Joseph Carson Jr., and Mimi Horn; nephews, Leotis Carson and Mark Carson (Cindy); nieces, Janelle Johnson (Anthony) and Amber Hill; special friend, Joseph Windom and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services for Sheila Carson will be held on Saturday July 29, 2023, visitation will be held from 2 P.M. - 3 P.M. with services beginning at 3 P.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th KCMO 64127.
