Shyrl Brown- Brooks

Shyrl Brown–Brooks was born Shyrl Marie Brown in Neptune, NJ to Robert Henry Brown and Barbara Brown.

She graduated from Neptune high school in 1978, and furthered her studies at Taylor Business Institute. She completed her studies in 1981.

In September of 1985 she married Gary Brooks and was blessed with two children, Marques and Robert. Aside from being a homemaker she got her certifications in paralegal studies and real estate. She went on to continue her professional career at the social security and IRS offices of Kansas City, MO.

Shyrl enjoyed gardening, reading her favorite books, and spending time with her family.

Shryla was preceded by her parents Robert and Barbara Brown: Sisters, Carol Davis and Sharon Cox; Aunts, Caroline Corbin, Margaret Corbin, Lorraine Corbin, and Rosetta Corbin; Uncles, Benjamin Corbin; and Grandparents, Benjamin and Carrie Corbin.

Shyrl leaves to cheish her memory her children, Marques Brooks (Jessica McCarthy), and Robert Brooks (Brittany Trobaugh). Her best friends Gary Brooks and Jill Lewis. Her Nephews, William Lee Davis Jr, Jason Cox, and niece Monique Marie Davis. Shyrl also leaves behind three grandsons , Anthony Piatt-Brooks, Jordan Brooks, and Nicholas Brooks.

Shryl will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday January 29, 2024 at 12 noon at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., Kansas City, Missouri 64127.
