Theresa Rae Palmer

Theresa Palmer died peacefully surrounded by family on August 21, 2024, at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 67.

Taeri is survived by her son, Matt Strauch of Denver, CO; sisters Anna Mizani (Farzin Mizani) of Prairie Village, KS and Laurie Jo Holmes (Joseph Watson) of Prairie Village, KS, sister-in-law, Patty Palmer of Raytown, MO, and nieces/nephews: Sara, Andy, Tiffany, Alex, Dylan and Katy, as well as several great nieces/nephews who she treasured very much. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Georgia Palmer of Kansas City, MO and brother, Julian Palmer, of Raytown, MO.

Taeri was born on January 31, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ray and Georgia Palmer. She attended Lillis High School and married Clay Scott in 1975. After moving to Loveland Colorado, Taeri began working for Hewlett Packard in the desktop computer division at the Loveland Facility and then later at the Ft. Collins facility. Taeri and Clay divorced, but they remained friends.

She moved out on her own and later married Loren Strauch in Ft. Collins, CO. After several unfortunate miscarriages, the couple welcomed a beautiful son into their home. Matt remembers her as a kind, gentle, patient, and loving mother who encouraged him to pursue his goals.

Taeri was passionate about collecting unique items and often indulged in crafting and giving her crafts to others. She was a generous and thoughtful individual who loved her family, enjoyed baking, and was blessed with a green thumb - giving plants to anyone who would like one.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s Hospice House for their efforts in making the last few weeks of her life comfortable. Taeri will be missed by many - most especially her son, sisters and best friend, Lynn.
