Thomas Joseph Hogan

Tom Hogan, 70, passed away on April 7, 2025, at home from a heart attack. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to James & Marie (Collier) Hogan at the old St. Mary’s Hospital where his mom was a nurse. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother Mike Hogan, a sister Nancy Hogan Porto and his former wife Sally Ham Hogan. He is survived by brothers Jim (Anne) Hogan, Don (Janine) Hogan, and sisters Mary Brady and Anne (Rick) Stadel.
He attended Redemptorist and St. Patrick’s North elementary schools and graduated from Oak Park High School in 1972. Tom married Sally Ham on August 10, 1997, He worked at Kelly’s Deli in Westport, the Missouri restaurant Association and Stroud’s. He was a truck driver traveling all over America. He also worked multiple jobs around Kansas City.
Tom enjoyed riding bicycles. He completed Bryan Busby’s 50-mile ride to Warrensburg, multiple times. He rode for MS to Lawrence. Tom loved Kansas City and riding in the park, trails and city streets with a group of bicycling friends. He was a history buff and took pictures of Kansas City’s historical statutes and homes and posted them on his
Facebook page.
His family and friends at the Broadway Coffee Shop, P3 and Stranger Days will miss him and his stories and pictures.
