Tyra Shempelle Burton

Tyra Burton was born on February 22, 1994, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Velma and Tyran Burton. Tyra was educated at Washington High School and later worked at Walmart.

Tyra was blessed with two beautiful children, Brandon Morris Jr. and Alya Glover. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to dress up.

Tyra departed this life on February 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Tyran Burton Sr.; brother, Gregory “PJ” Payton; grandmother, Sharon Tatum; special aunt, Ella Traylor; special friend, Kayla; and the love of her life, Brandon Morris Sr.

Tyra leaves to cherish her memory her children, Brandon and Alya; her mother, Velma; sisters, Andreaea “Pooh,” Serea Randolph, and Tyrus; brother, Tyran “Manman”; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Muffin was the life of the party. She loved her family and lit up the room with her smile whenever she walked in. Muffin will be deeply missed. It’s going to be lonely without you, but we know you will be smiling down on us.
