Wanda Lee Denmon was born February 9, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo. to Lillie (Denmon) Taylor and Kennie Denmon Sr.
She graduated from Lincoln High School and was also a licensed cosmetologist in the states of Missouri and California. She was an instructor and the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles, California.
She worked for TWA as a forklift driver, went on to work for R.L. Polk & Company, Icon Resolutions and retired from Dean Machinery. Raised by her Christian parents, she came to know Jesus Christ as Savior as a young girl. She partnered with her older brother (Bishop Herman Cubit) evangelizing throughout the state of Missouri.
She enjoyed playing piano for the glory of God, bowling for fun and spending time with her family.
Wanda departed this life on October 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother Lillie Denmon, father Kennie Denmon, Sr., brothers: Bishop Herman Cubit, Sr., James Cubit, Kennie Denmon, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Pastor Terry Findley (Louis), Shawn Nunley, Mia Ward (Chester) Stepdaughters: Yvonne George, Lashonda Mitchell, Yolanda Mitchell, Lakesha Witherspoon, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at I Can Ministries 3700 Brooklyn Ave., KCMO, 64109
