Wilma Claudine Thomas Jones, born to Wilhelmina Threat and Claude Thomas on April 21, 1942, in Alderson, Oklahoma, was a remarkable soul who touched the lives of many. She was the be-loved middle sister among her five siblings, including her older brother Claude Thomas Jr., and sisters Almalene Thomas Fergu-son, Charles Thomas, Joe Thomas, and Larry Thomas.

Wilma's journey began at L’overture School, where she thrived as a talented majorette, leading the championship marching band.
